Literature on Wildlife Research in the Madrean Archipelago: 1800s-1994

A literature search was accomplished on faunal studies conducted from the 1880sto 1994 in southeastern Arizona, Southwestern New Mexico, northeastern Sonora, and northwestern Chihuahua. The search was conducted at the Science and Engineering Library at the University of Arizona, Tuscon using Quick Search, a computer retrieval system. Abstracts or comments for publications are presented for birds (514), mammals (82), and amphibians and reptiles (21). Information is presented for taxonomic affiliation, geographic distribution, natural history and ecology, conservation and management, and ongoing studies.
