Case Study on Municipal Development Fund in Nepal: Infrastructure Finance Regional Workshop

Nepal, a landlocked country bordering Tibet, an autonomous region of the Peoples Republic of China on the North and India on the East, West and South, has an area of 147,181 square kilometers. Administratively, the country is divided into five development regions and 75 districts which are further divided into 3,995 village development committees and 36 municipalities. The present case study deals with the loan projects funded by 'International Development Association' (IDA) and grant projects funded by 'Deutsche Gesellschaft Fur Technische Zusammenarbeit' (GTZ).
