Working Paper No. 5 outlined the Buffalo ITS data sources, system users and their needs. The current paper, provides a discussion of the technologies available to collect/transmit/process and disseminate the needed data in order to meet these needs. The technologies which could be used in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) are discussed, evaluated and recommendations are made.
