摘要

The goals of this project are to: (1) identify constituents of produced water211u001e(PW) responsible for various bioeffects of interest to Southern California 211u001eEducational Initiative (SCEI) researchers; and (2) estimate their relevance to an 211u001eenvironmental situation by surveying the distribution of the bioactive 211u001econstituents at the Carpinteria site. The scientific utility of goal (1) is to 211u001esignificantly reduce the list of chemicals to be studies, providing foci for 211u001eother studies and greatly reducing analytical load. Goal (2) will provide basic 211u001edata of potential interpretability to any case study research currently being 211u001econducted at the Carpinteria site.
