Since the early 1960s, a succession of movements has mobilized efforts to reduce211u001eprejudice and discrimination in all facets of our lives. In response, many 211u001eorganizations and groups have worked externally to improve public policy and 211u001einternally to ensure diversity. Some members of the service-learning community 211u001ehave expressed concern about diversity, inclusion, and equity in the service-211u001elearning field. While this report was written primarily for National Youth 211u001eLeadership Council staff, Learning In Deed is distributing it to the service-211u001elearning community in order to support widespread action on strengthening 211u001ediversity. The organizational efforts described by those interviewed for this 211u001estudy reflect the particular circumstances of individual institutions and groups.
