This document presents the results of surface-water-quality data retrievals for211u001eSleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (SLBE) from six of the United States 211u001eEnvironmental Protection Agency's (EPA) national databases: (1) Storage and 211u001eRetrieval (STORET) water quality database management system; (2) River Reach File 211u001e(RF3); (3) Industrial Facilities Discharge (IFD); (4) Drinking Water Supplies 211u001e(DRINKS); (5) Water Gages (GAGES); and (6) Water Impoundments (DAMS). The 211u001edocument provides: (1) a complete inventory of all retrieved water quality 211u001eparameter data, water quality stations, and the entities responsible for the data 211u001ecollection; (2) descriptive statistics and appropriate graphical plots of water 211u001equality data characterizing period of record, annual, and seasonal central 211u001etendencies and trends; (3) a comparison of the park's water quality data to 211u001erelevant EPA and WRD water quality screening criteria; and (4) an Inventory Data 211u001eEvaluation and Analysis (IDEA) to determine what Servicewide Inventory and 211u001eMonitoring Program 'Level 1' water quality parameters have been measured within 211u001ethe study area. Accompanying the report are disks containing digital copies of 211u001eall data used in the report, as well as all components of the report (tables, 211u001efigures, etc.). The results of the retrievals for the study area from the IFD, 211u001eDRINKS, GAGES, and DAMS databases located three industrial/municipal dischargers; 211u001eno drinking water intakes; four active or inactive U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) 211u001ewater gages (including stream and well); and 12 water impoundments. The results 211u001eof the STORET retrieval for the study area yielded 51,317 observations for 294 211u001eseparate parameters collected by the NPS, USGS, EPA, and Michigan Department of 211u001eNatural Resources at 149 monitoring stations.
