Variation in Salmonid Life Histories: Patterns and Perspectives

摘要

Salmonid fishes differ in degree of anatomy, age of maturation, frequency ofreproduction, body size and fecundity, sexual dimorphism, breeding season, morphology, and, to a lesser degree, parental care. Patterns of variation and their possible significance for ecology and evolution and for resource management are the focus of this review.
