Medical Malpractice and Liability Reforms. Abstract, Executive Summary and FinalReport

This project considers the effect of medical malpractice reforms on liabilityinsurance markets and medical malpractice litigation in the federal courts. The primary focus was on damages caps and other reforms. These measures improved the profitability of insurance companies based on evidence using data from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. The reforms also substantially diminished medical malpractice liability cases in the Federal courts.
