This final report mainly focuses on evaluating overall performance of The211u001eUniversity of Texas' Automated Road Maintenance Machine (ARMM). First, the ARMM's 211u001eman-machine balanced control loop was further developed then rigorously tested 211u001eand evaluated based on (1) accuracy, (2) time, and (3) quality of the resultant 211u001eseal. The ARMM's productivity was estimated based on (1) the results of the 211u001eefficiency evaluation of the man-machine control loop, (2) observations made 211u001eduring the series of field trials, and (3) a productivity model. It was concluded 211u001ethat the introduction of automated methods to the pavement crack sealing process 211u001ewill improve productivity, quality, and reduce costs and safety risks.
