Gust Load Conditions for Fatigue Tests Based on a Continuous Gust Concept

Newly designed aircraft structures must be subjected to full scale fatigue/damage211u001etolerance testing. The present paper describes an automated procedure for the 211u001egeneration of fatigue test load sequences, with specific reference to gust loads. 211u001eThe procedure uses a continuous gust concept. A statistical gust model, based on 211u001egust data recently published by FAA, is proposed. Specific attention is paid to 211u001ethe determination of the incremental load distributions due to gust on PSD basis.
