Nordic Defence Materiel Co-operation on Signature Management. Status Report

The Nordic co-operation is established in order to achieve economical and211u001epractical benefits related to joint specifications and procurement of defense 211u001ematerial. In the field of camouflage and signature management similar climatic 211u001eand background conditions points at the possibility to define common spectral and 211u001efunctional requirements for different camouflage material. The identified short-211u001eterm co-operation projects are the new light-weight snag-free camouflage net and 211u001ea mobile camouflage system for BV 206. Long-term projects as camouflage in 211u001einternational operations, smart materials and target specified camouflage systems 211u001eare supposed to be promising for the Nordic co-operation.
