Internet and Electronic Dial-Up Bulletin Boards: Information Reported by Federal211 Organizations

This report provides information on Internet and electronic dial-up bulletin211u001eboard system (BBS) activities in the executive branch of the federal government. 211u001eSpecifically, for executive branch agencies, information is on (1) fiscal year 211u001e1994 through 1996 expenditures for Internet and BBS activities, (2) the number of 211u001ewww sites and electronic dial-up BBS, and (3) the number of employees with 211u001egovernment-provided Internet e-mail and www access. In addition, this report 211u001eprovides information on benefits agencies associate with these activities and on 211u001eguidance for Internet activities; and it discusses the issue of employee misuse 211u001eof government-provided Internet resources at a few agencies.
