A public meeting was held on October 8 1998 at the Gleacher Center, University of211u001eChicago, Chicago, Illinois, for individuals to attend and present oral and 211u001ewritten comments to representatives from the National Institute of Environmental 211u001eHealth Sciences (NIEHS), National Institutes of Health and other officials with 211u001eresponsibility for preparation of the NIEHS Director's report. The meeting was 211u001eattended by research scientists, representatives from industry, governmental 211u001eofficials, journalists, and the public. The comments targeted the issues of 211u001eelectric and magnetic fields (EMF) and the Working Group Report. A presentation 211u001eby NIEHS preceded the presentation of comments. The meeting was recorded and this 211u001ebooklet contains the meeting transcript.
