Superfund Record of Decision (EPA Region 4): Camp Lejeune Military Reservation211 (USNavy) Operable Unit 11, Site 7 and 80, Onslow County, NC., January 20, 1998

This decision document presents the selected remedy for Operable Unit (OU) No. 11211u001e(Sites 7 and 80) at Marine Corps Base (MCB), Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The 211u001eselected remedy for OU No. 11 is the 'no action' plan. At Site 80, a Time-211u001eCritical Removal Action (TCRA) was completed prior to implementation of the 'no 211u001eaction' plan. Under the TCRA, pesticide and arsenic contaminated surface soil was 211u001eexcavated, removed from the site, and disposed. The applicability of the 'no 211u001eaction' plan at Site 80 was dependent on the implementation of this TCRA. The 211u001eTCRA reduced current human health risks to within acceptable limits, and 211u001eeliminated contaminated surface soil from being a future potential source of 211u001egroundwater contamination.
