Standard Reference Materials (SRMs) 2046-2051 are transmission filters and may be211u001eused for calibrating transmittance measurements made using lasers or infrared 211u001espectrophotometers, for attenuating the optical power with an accurately known 211u001etransmittance at a wavelength of 1064 nm, and for characterizing the nonlinearity 211u001eof detection systems. The external transmittance of these filters has been 211u001emeasured at a wavelength of 1064 nm using a Nd:YAG laser and silicon diode 211u001edetectors. The uncertainty associated with the measured optial density of each 211u001efilter has been individually determined. The filters are made of colored glass 211u001ewith uncoated, polished surfaces. The filter plates are 51 mm x 51 mm, with 211u001ethicknesses ranging from 1 mm to 6.4 mm which correspond to nominal optical 211u001edensities from 1 to 6.
