Joint Load Transfer and Slab Loss of Support Analysis

Two portland cement concrete (PCC) pavement designs are compared and analyzed fordifferences in their joint load transfer efficiency and slab support. The Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) was used to gather deflection data for both pavements. The center deflections, corner deflections and load transfer efficiency are compared. The NCHRP Project 1-21 Procedure for Void Size Estimation is also followed to estimate loss of support for both pavements.
