Environmental Technology Verification Report: Field-Portable Gas Chromatograph,211 Sentex Systems, Inc., Scentograph Plus II

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, through the Environmental Technology211u001eVerification Program, is working to accelerate the acceptance and use of 211u001einnovative technologies that improve the way the United States manages its 211u001eenvironmental problems. This document presents demonstration data, and verifies 211u001ethe performance of the Sentex Sentograph Plus II field-portable gas 211u001echromatograph. The demonstration was conducted at two geologically and 211u001eclimatologically different sites: U.S. Department of Energy's Savannah River 211u001eSite, near Aiken South Carolina and McClellan Air Force Base, near Sacramento 211u001eCalifornia. The demonstration offered adequate analytical and operational data 211u001ewith which to evaluate their performance of the Scentograph Plus II gas 211u001echromatograph. The Scentograph Plus II costs about $35,000 for a single-column 211u001econfiguration, and can be operated by a field technician with minimal training 211u001egas chromatography.
