PRISMA (=PRogetto dell'Instituto di Strutura della MAteria del CNR) is the resultof a collaboration between the Italian Consiglio Nazionale delle Richerche (NCR) and the British Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). A brief introduction to how PRISMA works is given.
