The National Consumer Law Center(NCLC) received a grant for Financially211u001eDistressed Older Americans, a project to improve the quality and accessibility of 211u001elegal assistance of weak older Americans whose independence is threatened due to 211u001etheir limited financial resources. It offers case supports, training and 211u001eeducation to legal service attorneys concerning the financial insecurities of the 211u001eelderly. It provides tips to avoid financial scams and explains the rights of 211u001eelders. The Center also helps seniors with budgeting and handling debt problems 211u001ewithout losing valuable assets.
