Emergency Notification and Response report summarizes and interprets the results211u001eof two Field Operational Tests (FOTs) that included emergency notification and 211u001eresponse system components. The tests included in this report are: Colorado 211u001eMayday and Puget Sound Help Me. These tests supplied technical lessons about the 211u001efunction of the emergency systems. The test evaluations solicited user responses 211u001eregarding acceptance and ease of use of the systems through a series of focus 211u001egroups. These tests encountered few institutional challenges. The report findings 211u001eare organized in the categories of impact, user response, technical lessons 211u001elearned, institutional challenges and resolutions, and cost to implement. This 211u001ereport highlights the successes and problems these tests encountered while 211u001eattempting to develop the technologies appropriate to establishing and 211u001eimplementing emergency notification and response systems.
