Pollution Prevention Ideas from Texas Industry: A Case Study Compendium

The Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission (TNRCC) provides this211u001ecompendium of successful waste reduction projects to help businesses and 211u001eindustries with their own efforts. The TNRCC's Office of Pollution Prevention and 211u001esource reduction Recycling (OPPR) compiles this compendium as part of its source 211u001ereduction and waste minimization efforts. These waste reduction case studies were 211u001esubmitted by companies that are concerned about their waste output, are doing 211u001esomething about it, and are willing to share their experience. All case studies 211u001ein this document were written and edited by employees of the facilities where the 211u001eprojects were implemented. The case studies in this compendium illustrate that 211u001epollution prevention not only improves the environment, but also saves money, 211u001eimproves worker safety, and makes businesses more economically competitive.
