This monograph reports the results of the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA)211u001eState Evaluation Development Program working meeting, Programs in Correctional 211u001eSettings: Innovative State and Local Programs, held November 24, 1995, in 211u001eLongmont, Colorado. The working meeting brought together more than 60 State 211u001eplanners and local practitioners, as well as researchers, analysts, and law 211u001eenforcement officers, who are involved in implementing or evaluating programs to 211u001eimprove the criminal justice system and their communities. This publication 211u001edescribes workshop presentations of programs in correctional settings that focus 211u001eon improving the criminal justice system at the State and local levels.
