Recreation Fees: Demonstration Fee Program Successful in Raising Revenues but211 Could Be Improved

This report reviews the implementation by four agencies of the recreational fee211u001edemonstration program. The four agencies are the Park Service, the Forest 211u001eService, the Bureau of Land Management, and the Fish and Wildlife Service. We 211u001ehave reviewed the program focusing on (1) the implementation of the program and 211u001ethe fee revenues generated; (2) the program's expenditures; (3) the extent to 211u001ewhich the agencies have used innovative or coordinated approaches to fee 211u001ecollection; and (4) the program's effects, if any, on visitation.
