This report presents a summary of the workshop that the Federal HighwayAdministration (FHWA) sponsored in November 1996, in Washington, DC. The purpose of the workshop was to obtain input from a group of leading non-motorized transportation modelers on various research methods for promoting walking and bicycling as other modes of transportation.
