Study on the Shear Strength of a Single-Lap Rosette-Joint

The ROSETTE-joint is a relatively new technqiue for connecting thin steel plates.211u001eIt has many advantages over more conventional technqiues, such as riveting, 211u001ebolting and spot welding. In order to investigate the behavior of a ROSETTE-joint 211u001ein detail, a large number of shear and cross-tension tests and FE analysis were 211u001ecarried out in the Laboratory of Steel Structures at HUT. This study is a part of 211u001ea large research project carried out at HUT in order to create basis for design 211u001eof the Rosette-joint. The research was ordered by Mr. Kimmo J.
