摘要

This study uses a metapopulation approach to examine the population dynamics ofthe zebra mussel the population dyanmics of the zebra mussel in the Illinois River. In particular, we examine the growth rate and flux of zebra mussel larvae in the river and the seasonal availability of larvae competent to settle, and we estimate minimum traveling distances (under assumed conditions) between source and settlement sites within the overall metapopulation.
