摘要

This working paper is related to a study of competitiveness which has been in211u001eprogress during the years 1996-1998. The study is mainly funded by the Technology 211u001eCentre of Finland (TEKES). The generic problem of managing a firm's 211u001ecompetitiveness in dynamic markets is approached from the recursive systems view 211u001e(Beer 1985, 1975) coupled with the competence-based view. Finally, it is 211u001econcluded that by applying the recursive systems view, we are likely to be able 211u001eto enhance our understanding of the internal chains of causalities which explain 211u001ea firms' (non-)competitiveness.
