U.S. and U.K. Standards System: Report of Standards Workshop. Held in Washington,DC. on April 18, 1997

The British Council, the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), andthe Center for Workforce Development of the Institute for Educational Leadership, with support from the US Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration Office of Policy Research, sponsored a workshop focusing on the use of skill standards in the United States and the United Kingdom. The meeting, held April 18, 1997 in Washington, D.C., included representatives from each country who are responsible for occupational standards and accreditation, colleges and universities that provide training to those standards, examination bodies with standards-related examinations, and private consultants who work in the area of standards development.
