Testing and Evaluation of a Portable Workzone Sign Support: FOIL Test Numbers211 98F008 and 98F009

This report contains the test procedures, test setup, and test results from two211u001ecrash tests performed at the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) Federal 211u001eoutdoor Impact Laboratory (FOIL) located at the Turner-Fairbank Highway Research 211u001eCenter (TFHRC) in McLean, Virginia. The purose of the tests was to evaluate the 211u001esafety performance of a portable work-zone sign trailer currently used by the 211u001eState of Montana. The tests were also conducted to provide computer simulation 211u001eengineers with electronic crash test data from a small car collision with a small 211u001eportable sign support.
