The report gives results of an evaluation and assessment of the performance,211u001eeconomics, and emission reduction potential upon application of low-volatile 211u001eorganic compound (VOC) waterborne contact adhesive formulations specifically in a 211u001emanual laminating operation for assembling store fixtures. The main goal of the 211u001eproject was to determine if three waterborne contact adhesives could achieve 211u001eadhesion performance levels equivalent to, or exceeding, that of a currently used 211u001esolvent-borne contact adhesive while emitting lower VOCs and/or hazardous air 211u001epollutants (HAPs) upon application. Two secondary goals were to determine the 211u001erelative cost of using each alternative contact adhesive, compared to the 211u001ecurrently used product (called the 'control'), and to estimate the emission 211u001ereduction potential from the use of each alternative adhesive.
