Ion-Exchanged Diffractive Optical Elements

摘要

The research presented in this dissertation involves a new fabrication method for211u001ediffractive elements, namely, ion exchange in glass. Enhancements in the design 211u001eof ion-exchanged diffractive elements in waveguides are also presented. Some 211u001eintroductory background on diffractive optics, waveguide optics, and ion exchange 211u001ein glass is provided.
