Effects of Winter Recreation on Wildlife of the Greater Yellowstone Area: A211 Literature Review and Assessment

This publication is a cooperative project of the Greater Yellowstone Coordinating211u001eCommittee (GYCC) and was undertaken at the request of the Greater Yellowstone 211u001eWinter Visitor Use Management Working Group (Working Group). Because the Working 211u001eGroup felt that the effects of winter recreation on wildlife had not been 211u001eadequately addressed, the Winter Wildlife Working Group (Wildlife Group) was 211u001eformed in December 1996. Twenty-six biologists and resource managers from the 211u001eForest Service, National Park Service, the states of Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming, 211u001eand private organizations were invited to participate; 18 submitted papers.
