The 8th ERCOFTAC/IAHR/COST workshop on Refined Turbulence Modelling was held on211u001e17 and 18 June 1999 at Helsinki University of Technology in Espoo, Finland. The 211u001emain purpose of this series of workshops is to collect information and knowledge 211u001eabout the predictive capabilities of various turbulence models in different types 211u001eof flows. This is done by comparing model-predicted CFD results with experimental 211u001eor direct numerical simulation data in a broad range of well-defined test-case 211u001eflows.
