Factors Affecting the Nesting Success of Edge and Shrubland Birds

The goal of this study was to develop management recommendations to increase211u001epopulations and nesting success of birds that nest on edges, in shrublands 211u001e(including old fields and hedgerows) and in wooded corridors. Our approach was to 211u001ecensus bird populations and measure nesting success in conjunction with detailed 211u001estudies of the populations and movements of nest predators such as raccoons, 211u001eopossums, snakes, and blue jays.
