This study contributes to the development of a means to accurately, efficiently,211u001eand fairly assess a wetland's condition in the context of the surrounding 211u001ewatershed can then be used to implement protective and restorative strategies 211u001ethat are appropriate for both the individual wetland and the watershed. The 211u001eobjectives for the study are: to determine and report on the ecological condition 211u001eof wetlands in the Juniata River watershed using a series of assessment tools; 211u001eevaluate the feasibility of integrating a series of bioindicators into the 211u001ewetland condition assessments for the two sub-watersheds; and evaluate the 211u001efeasibility of using citzen volunteers to apply the wetland monitoring protocols 211u001ethroughout the Juniata River watershed.
