Reference Data for the Sites to Be Used in the Exercise Resume 99 (Referensdata211 foer Maetpunkter som Skall Anvaendas vid Oevning Resume 99)

This report presents measurement data from soil samples collected at three sites,211u001ewithin or in the surrounding area of Gaevle. These will act as calibration and 211u001ereference sites during Resume 99. The investigation was performed during the end 211u001eof May and in the middle of June 1999. Site one was a lawn in a park. The site is 211u001elocated in Regementsparken, Gaevle. Site two was also a lawn, one which 211u001esurrounded a manor house in Alaevkarleoe. The manor house will also act as 211u001eheadquarters during the exercise. Site three was an open field containing a thin 211u001elayer of organic matter with mineral ground below and was situated near Harnaes. 211u001eThe aims of this work were to determine the depth distrubtion of density, depth 211u001edistribution of Cs-137 activity concentration, deposition of Cs-137 and activity 211u001econcentration of the natural nuclides Bi-214, Tl-208 and K-40 in each of the 211u001ethree sites.
