Models-3 is a flexible software system designed to simplify the development and211u001euse of environmental assessment and other decision support tools. It is designed 211u001efor applications ranging from regulatory and policy analysis to understanding the 211u001ecomplex interactions of atmospheric chemistry and physics. The June 1999 release 211u001eof Models-3 contains a Community Multi-Scale Air Quality (CMAQ) modeling system 211u001efor urban to regional scale air quality simulation of tropospheric ozone, acid 211u001edeposition, visibility, and fine particles. Principal improvements since the 211u001einitial release in June 1998 include the availability of a full port of Models-3 211u001eto Windows-NT based computers.
