Reports of Investigations (RIs) present the results of original mining health and211u001esafety research. They describe individual, short-term studies and include the 211u001eobjective of the research, the materials and techniques used, and the results of 211u001etests or experiments. Information Circulars (ICs) present information compiled 211u001eand analyzed by mining health and safety researchers. They include historical and 211u001estatistical data, surveys of mining and operating activities, computer program 211u001edescriptions and user guides, and annotated bibliographies. Technology News is a 211u001eone-page flyer used to announce a milestone in mining health and safety research, 211u001etechnology ready for transfer to industry, or an opportunity for cooperative 211u001eresearch and development. Mining Health and Safety Focus is a newsletter issued 211u001eperiodically on different topics to apprise readers of tangible research results 211u001eand to expedite the transfer of new technologies to customers. Each section 211u001edescribes what is new or changed in relation to current practices or technologies 211u001ein mines today.
