Screw Gluing Kerto-LVL Structures with Polyurethane

摘要

The objective was to find out the applicability of screw-pressing technique and211u001eto determine factors affecting the strength and quality of glue line in screw-211u001epressed Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) elements purposed to structural use. The 211u001eproduction of these elements is based on one-component polyurethane glue pressed 211u001ewith mechanical fasteners. The aim was to clarify the effects of pressing 211u001econditions on the PYU glue line quality, its thickness and strength. Based on 211u001ethis information, the critical conditions and proper manufacturing methods were 211u001edetermined to obtain satisfactory glue line.
