摘要

One task of this report is to examine the usefulness and advantages, if any, of S-211u001ematrix theory in providing significantly more accurate values of photon 211u001einteraction cross sections and attenuation coefficients. The other tasks of this 211u001ereport is to examine the available Compton profile literature and to explore 211u001ewhat, if any, effect our knowledge of this line-broadening has on theoretical 211u001ecomputations of photon incoherent scattering cross sections and total mass 211u001eattenuation coefficients.
