This course is the first in a series of three training programs that,211u001ecollectively, prepare police officers and other qualified persons to serve as 211u001eDrug Recognition Experts (DREs). The Drug Evaluation and Classification (DEC) 211u001eProgram is a nationwide effort to deter impaired driving by increasing the 211u001elikelihood that people who drive under the influence of drugs will be detected, 211u001ecaught, convicted and punished.
