Wire Mesh Reinforced Erosion Control Mat

This study involved evaluating the constructability and performance of the wire211u001emesh reinforced erosion control mat, installed on SR 00724-03M, in Berks County. 211u001eThe purpose of this MacMat-R8 was to address a persistent erosion control 211u001econdition. These three areas exhibit soil and friable rock surfaces at a 1.4:1 211u001eslope that persistently had rocks fall onto SR 0724. The wire mesh performed 211u001esatisfactorily and is recommended for acceptance as an alternate to other control 211u001emats.
