Reversing the Row Order for the Row-by-Row Frontal Method

The efficiency of the row-by-row frontal method is dependent on the row ordering211u001eused. Numerical experience has shown us that it can be advantageous to reverse a 211u001egiven row ordering. We present two results on invariance under the reversal of 211u001ethe ordering and use real applications to illustrate the variations that can take 211u001eplace.
