Minnesota and Wisconsin produce over one-third of the manufacturing grade milk211u001emarketed in the United States. The estimates relate only to maufacturing grade 211u001emilk purchased from farmers and do not include Grade A milk diverted to 211u001emanufacturing uses. Data needed for the preparation of the two-State series are 211u001ecollected by the Minnesota and Wisconsin Agricultural Statistics Offices. These 211u001edata come from regularly scheduled monthly reports submitted by plants receiving 211u001emanufacturing grade milk. After data are summarized and analyzed by the Federal-211u001eState Statisticians, estimates are forwarded to Washington, D.C. for final review 211u001eand consolidated into the two-State average price and test.
