The objective of this research is to establish a basis for the design and further211u001edevelopment of the composite steel-concrete slip floor construction both in 211u001eservice and fire conditions. In this report, the behavior of composite slim floor 211u001estructures exposed to fire is studied by using numerical analysis methods. The 211u001egeneral finite-element program ABAQUS and a temperature analysis program (TACS-211u001eFIR) developed in the Laboratory were used in this investigation. Firstly, the 211u001ethermal response of the composite slim floor frame in fire was analyzed using 211u001eTACS-FIR. Then two fire tests on the asymmetric slim floor beams, carried out in 211u001eWarrington Fire Research Center in England, were modeled and the direct 211u001ecomparison between test results and computer predictions showed a good 211u001ecorrelation. Further, the fire resistance and deformation behavior of a new 211u001ecomposite slim floor beam was investigated, and the effects of axial restraints 211u001eand beam spans on the fire resistance were described.
