In this thesis, physical properties of electrorheological (ER) and211u001emagnetorheological (MR) fluids are discussed. From the theoretical point of view, 211u001ethe basic elements of ER or MR phenomena are electrostatic or magnetostatic and 211u001ehydrodynamic interactions between suspension particles. In this thesis, numerical 211u001esimulation methods are used to study the physical properties of ER and MR systems 211u001eunder various external conditions. These simulations are based on numerical 211u001emodels or techniques, specifically point dipole model or finite elements method, 211u001ewhich have been used to study some static and dynamic properties of these fluids.
