Summary of Activities and Achievments with the N4 Project during the First Three-211 Quarter of 1999

A summary of activities and achievements within the N4 project for the first211u001ethree quarters of 1999 is presented. Results from the detection limit 211u001edeterminations of N4 in liquid and solid nitrogen using FT-Raman spectroscopy are 211u001epresented. Initial tests on the cryogenic hollow cathode are described and 211u001esummarized. An overview of QM calculations on N4 is given. Directions for the 211u001efourth quarter of 1999 are presented.
