Demonstration of the Environmental and Demand-Side Management Benefits of Grid-211 Connected Photovoltaic Power Systems Sited on Military Bases

The record gives results of an investigation into the pollutant emission211u001ereduction and demand-side management potential of three photovoltaic (PV) systems 211u001einstalled at Ft. Huachuca, AZ, Ft. Dix, NJ, and Hickman Air Force Base, HI, which 211u001ebegan operation between January and July 1997. The report documents the project 211u001eand gives results of analyses of each system's ability both to offset emissions 211u001eof sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and carbon dioxide, and to provide power 211u001eduring peak load hours for the host sites and participating utilities.
