Multicast Transport Protocol for Reliable Group Applications

This paper presents a transport-level multicast protocol that is useful for211u001ebuilding fault-tolerant, group-based applications. It provides (i) reliable, end-211u001eto-end message delivery, and (ii) a failure suspector service wherein best 211u001eefforts are made to avoid mistakes.
