Simple Analysis of the Effect of Construction Materials on Bridge Impact Factors

The purpose of this research is to study the influence of different construction211u001ematerials on the dynamic impact factor of bridges. Initially, introduction of the 211u001edynamic impact factor and some evaluation methods are presented. A comparison of 211u001ethe regulations of bridge codes from some countries is made. Then, from a simply 211u001esupported Euler-Bernoulli beam, the evaluation model used in this paper will be 211u001econsidered. A numerical example is shown with a constant vehicle loading 211u001esubstituted into the model using three different materials of bridge systems. The 211u001eresults of the models show the effect of different materials of bridge systems. 211u001eThe results of the models show the effect of different materials on the dynamic 211u001eimpact factor. This report introduced a simple method for evaluation of changes 211u001ein the dynamic impact factor, which will be useful to practitioners and students 211u001ewho are interested in the subject.
